María Elvira Salazar (R-FL), Madeleine Dean (D-PA), August Pfluger (R-TX), Stacey Plaskett (D-VI), Vern Buchanan (R-FL), and Debbie Dingell (D-MI) introduced the Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Network (TAKE IT DOWN) Act. This bill protects victims of real and deepfake ‘revenge pornography,’ a crime that is unfortunately having an increasing impact on our nation’s youth.

MIAMI, FL – Today, Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) unveiled a $200,000 federal investment in a new park for the Village of Palmetto Bay to honor our community’s veterans. Congresswoman Salazar secured the funding as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, legislation she proudly supported.
The funding will be used to construct The Charles & Fanny Dascal Veterans Park with a parking lot, walking path, and beautiful new landscaping. It will be used and enjoyed by the community, in honor of our heroic veterans.
