Congresista Salazar interroga al Secretario de Estado de EE. UU., Antony Blinken, sobre Cuba, Argentina y la República Dominicana
Washington, D.C. — On Thursday, Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chairwoman María Elvira Salazar (R-FL), participated in a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, in which she interrogated U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on matters impacting Cuba, Argentina and the Dominican Republic.
The conversation around the Dominican Republic focused on the State Department’s travel advisory, warning African-Americans against travel to the island for supposed “risk of arbitrary detention based on skin color”. Read more about Rep. Salazar’s previous actions on this matter here.
On Cuba, Salazar pressed the Secretary on whether or not the Biden Administration was considering removing Cuba off the State Sponsor of Terrorism country list, to which the Secretary said ‘no’. See this exchange here.
