Washington, D.C – Today, Representative María Elvira Salazar sent a letter to President Biden criticizing him for pointing fingers at others on immigration, while failing to provide solutions himself. The President has prioritized every issue except Immigration Reform.
“President Biden has failed to act time and again and yet wants to blame republicans instead of talking about solutions”, said Congresswoman Salazar. “We need to fix this problem now and I am the only Member of Congress with an Immigration Reform proposal to actually solve this crisis.”

BACKGROUND
Representative Salazar was a reporter in 2010 when President Barack Obama and Vice President Biden spoke to a room full of journalists and promised to get a Dreamer bill passed. This was when Democrats had full control of the government. They chose other priorities and immigrants were left behind.
Over a decade later, President Biden continues to make empty promises, while promoting open border policies that are putting lives at risk.
In Congress, Congresswoman Salazar introduced the Dignity Act, which ends illegal immigration once and for all, fully secures the border, and fixes our broken asylum system.
