WASHINGTON, D.C. – Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chair María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) joined a roundtable discussion hosted by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul (R-TX) with leading Cuban dissidents in the Assault Brigade 2506 Honorary Museum in Miami this week.

During the discussion, Chair Salazar reaffirmed her utmost support for the Cuban protestors against the cruel Castro regime and urged the Biden Administration to take action against the growing Chinese influence in the country.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Reps. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) and Chellie Pingree (D-ME) reintroduced the John W. Walsh Alpha-1 Home Infusion Act. If passed, certain Medicare beneficiaries living with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency would be able to receive essential augmentation infusions at home.

This bill will ensure we continue providing robust conservation for migratory birds in the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chairwoman María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) was joined by Ranking Member Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Reps. Carlos Giménez (R-FL), Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL), and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) in introducing the Nicaragua Political Prisoner Support Act. The bill would grant the 222 political prisoners who were expelled by the criminal Ortega-Murillo regime last February the critical support services the U.S. government offers to refugees.
